In 1806, besides the Istra battalion there were formed:
-The 1st battalion of 738 Dalmatian people.
-The 2nd battalion of 738 Dalmatian people, it was given to the sailors. (Marini).
-The Royal Dalmatian legion with 738 people in it. (LegioneReale di Dolmata).
Legion lasted from 30 July 1806 to March 1808.
In 1808, there underwent some new changes in the army. The 1st and
the 2nd battalions of the Dalmatian Legion were brought to the Dalmatian
Royal Regiment.
This regiment existed from March 1808 to October 1814.
In 1806, the size of the company had been increased. In the regiment
there became 4 battalion of combat and 1 spare regiment. The number of
companies was reduced. In the battalion there were appeared four
huntsmen’s, one karabiners’ and one Voltigeurs’ regiments. There were
140 people in the company.
2 three-foot guns were attached to the Regiment.
It was under the command of Eugene Bogarne Napoleon's stepson,
Viceroy of the Kingdom of Italy. In 1812 the troops of the Kingdom had
been amounted to the Fourth Army Corps.
This regiment participated in the battles in Tarvisio, Raab,
Maloyaroslavetz, Viazma, Dukhovshchina, Krasnoye, Lippa, Elsan,
Chernuts.
In 1812 the 1st, the 2nd, and the 3rd Battalions of the infantry participated in the Campaign of the Dalmatian Royal Regiment.
Commander: Colonel Laro (Lorot).
1st Battalion: Battalion Chief Perrin (Perrin).
2nd Battalion: Battalion Chief Katturich (Catturich).
3rd Battalion: Battalion Chief Goulet (Goulet).
There were 65 officers and 1681 established men. Together with the
3rd Light Infantry regiment of the Kingdom of Italy they composed the
2nd brigade, Brigadier General-Baron of the Italian Kingdom Frederick
Francois de Guillaume de Vodonkura. The second brigade had been entered
the 15th Infantry (Italian) division of Major-General Domenico Pino.
The Italian corps that was under the command of Eugene Beauharnais
crossed the Neman River on June 30, 1812 in the village of Prena.
Passing the entire company, participating in various battles,
experiencing all the hardships of retreat the corps retained enough
order and organization.
On December 12, 1812 the remains of the corps of the Italian Kingdom
were able to cross the border of the Russian Empire near Kovno.
On December 31, 1812 only 452 people of the entire corps gathered in Marienwerder.

collectors.Officer’s buttons are found only in single copies and their
rarity can be evaluated only theoretically.
