The troops of the Kingdom of Italy were under the command of Napoleon's stepson, Viceroy of Italy, Eugene Bogarne. In 1812 the troops of the Kingdom had been amountedto the Fourth Army Corps.
The 1st regiment appeared in 1805.
It participated in the battles in Kolyuerg, Stralsund, Sacile, Soave, Kastelcherino, Tarvisio, Raab, Königswartha, Dennewitz, Wartenburg, Leipzig, Lippi Chernuts, Reggio and the lake Taro.
The regiment did not participate in the Russian campaign.
There was the regimental artillery in the regiment - 2 three-foot guns.
